About Us
We take pride in offering a variety of typical dishes from Costa Rican gastronomy, from a delicious and traditional “arroz guacho” with seasoned chicken to a Caribbean recipe like “rice and beans with Caribbean chicken.” All our dishes are prepared in-house with the finest ingredients and culinary techniques, ensuring that every bite is a unique culinary experience.
Our restaurant is the perfect place to enjoy a panoramic view of our Monteverde community. Our warm and welcoming atmosphere will make you feel at home while you indulge in our delicious and authentic food.

Our History
Sabor Tico is the dream of its owners, who are not only spouses but also parents of three children. They decided to open a restaurant that embodies the Costa Rican flavor at every table.
In 2010, the head chef and owner created the menu based on her knowledge of Guanacaste gastronomy, while her husband took care of the restaurant’s administrative area. They worked together to achieve their dream and to delight each diner with the taste of Costa Rica.
In 2011, they closed their first location called “Tico Site” and opened the doors to “Sabor Tico Original.” By 2013, they expanded and opened a second location in the Monteverde shopping center.
Today, both restaurants are open, working tirelessly for their family dream.
